Sachin Tendulkar is a great player no doubt. He scored thousand and thousand runs in every format of cricket. He scored 100 centuries in international cricket - which is just unbelievable! Not only this he has lots of other records - No other cricket players are even close to him. Sachin is unreachable and untouchable. And of course Tendulkar is a complete gentleman and the most respectable cricket player of the world. He is a great human being and big hearted sports man. Sachin is the pride of India - Indian people love him and respect him like god.
But for me he is not the god of cricket. Because cricket is not all about runs and centuries. Cricket is a team game. If i ask you - is Sachin Tendulkar a match winner ? What will be your answer ? We all know the answer. Honestly speaking Sachin Tendulkar is not a match winner.
So if a player do not have the ability to win his team than what is the value ? Yes, Sachin is a great player and a very gentle man also. But there have some other players also who scored runs and centuries like him and more importantly they were match winners. I think Sachin is the God of Centuries not the god of cricket.
I believe Sachin Tendulkar is the most luckiest cricket player of the whole world because his team never ask him to bring the victory rather the whole Indian team always ask him to score a century ! Of course scoring a century is not a easy task - but when you are playing in a team and you are only thinking about your own goal or century then the task become easy. Sachin is lucky because whole India gave him the license to play for his own century not for team. Through out the whole career his only task was scoring century !
